ISLAMABAD—–As many as 111 new dengue patients have been reported in Islamabad during the last 24 hours Thursday.
The data released on Wednesday by District Health Office Islamabad shows that a total of 111 cases tested positive for dengue. This number is low as compared to the previous day which was 122 but it cannot be assumed that the cases started a downfall.
Currently, 4097 dengue fever patients are under treatment at various private and public sector hospitals in Islamabad. 50 out of the total cases were admitted to the Pakistan Institute of Medical Sciences (PIMS), which was already providing treatment to 955 dengue patients.
Federal General Hospital Chak Shehzad received 5 new patients, CDA hospital 1, Quaid-e-Azam hospital 2, Holy Family 9, and 44 were reported in private sector hospitals.
As many as 56 new cases reported from the rural areas took the total number of positive cases from rural areas to 2369, and 55 new patients of urban regions made the total 1728 positive cases registered in urban areas this year.
