10th CPEC Anniversary: Bank of China Opens in Islamabad

ISLAMABAD: Finance Minister Ishaq Dar on Monday officially launched the Bank of China in Islamabad, marking the 10th anniversary of the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) a momentous occasion.

The inaugural ceremony marked an important milestone in strengthening the economic cooperation between Pakistan and China.

While talking at the launching ceremony, the finance minister expressed heartfelt gratitude to the Chinese officials and acknowledged their unwavering support to Pakistan during difficult times. He stated that China’s assistance was crucial in helping Pakistan overcome its varied economic challenges.

Additionally, Ishaq Dar proudly presented optimistic data on Pakistan’s economic performance, showing that the country is on a development path. He added that due to Pakistan’s financial stability and economic growth, international rating agencies had raised the country’s credit rating.

Minister Dar proclaimed, “With our tireless efforts, we have weathered the storm and embarked on a growth journey.

He continued by expressing his hope for the future and his desire to see the Chinese currency, the Yuan, gain acceptance as a viable alternative currency worldwide.

As CPEC marks its tenth anniversary, the joint venture still acts as a game-changing initiative, enabling regional connectivity and tighter commercial connections between China and Pakistan. With the opening of the Bank of China, both nations are ready to make use of their strategic alliance to open up new doors for their populations’ progress and prosperity.
