MEXICO: Officials said on Sunday that at least ten people were shot to death and another five were injured in an attack at a bar in Mexico’s central state of Guanajuato.
According to AFP, the attack was carried out after 11:00 p.m. local time on Saturday at the “El Estadio” bar, when armed men burst in and opened fire at employees and customers of the bar along a highway that links the cities of Celaya and Queretaro.

Officials said that 10 people including three women were killed in the attack. Guanajuato, a wealthy industrial region and home to some of Mexico’s most popular tourist spots, has become the country’s bloodiest zone.
Two cartels Jalisco Nueva Generacion and Santa Rosa de Lima are fighting deadly wars in the state, where they are known to carry out drug trafficking and oil theft.
