JEDDAH: Saudi Arabia’s Jeddah continues to strengthen its position as one of the region’s leading coastal tourism destinations, offering modern marine facilities, a pleasant waterfront climate, luxury resorts, contemporary beaches, and a wide range of water-based recreational activities for families and adventure seekers.
Among the city’s standout attractions is the Jeddah Yacht Club, which has emerged as a premier waterfront destination featuring scenic views, restaurants, cafés, and a variety of leisure experiences, the Saudi Press Agency (SPA) reported on Wednesday.
The club also plays a key role in promoting marine tourism and supporting Saudi Arabia’s efforts to diversify its economy.
The yacht club houses a specialised maritime academy accredited by the Royal Yachting Association (RYA), offering training programmes in dinghy sailing, keelboat sailing, wingfoiling, and powerboat operation for both adults and children.

The academy also hosts summer camps for children aged seven to 15, combining adventure, education, and water sports to encourage teamwork while developing practical sailing and kayaking skills under the guidance of qualified instructors.
Jeddah’s rich historical, cultural, and maritime heritage, coupled with its expanding tourism infrastructure, continues to enhance the city’s appeal. Visitors can also explore a wide range of entertainment venues, restaurants, and shopping centres, making Jeddah one of Saudi Arabia’s most attractive tourism destinations.
Saudi Arabia is taking strategic step in transforming tourism access, with the Package Visa pilot now underway through approved general travel and tourism service providers in several pilot markets.
The new initiative will enable eligible visitors to obtain their tourist visa as part of their travel package, the Saudi Press Agency (SPA) reported.
The service is the result of integrated efforts by the Ministry of Tourism, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Ministry of Interior, in cooperation with the Insurance Authority.
The initiative builds on Saudi Arabia’s continued efforts to open its doors to more visitors under Saudi Vision 2030. Since launching the tourist e-Visa, the Kingdom has introduced more flexible ways to visit, including visa on arrival, the Stopover Transit Visa, and now the Package Visa.
Together, these programmes have helped accelerate tourism growth, with Saudi Arabia welcoming over 29 million inbound visitors in 2025.
