PM Shehbaz Lays Foundation Stone of NUTECH

ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has vowed to continue promoting technical education in the country as he laid the foundation stone of National University of Technology (NUTECH) main campus here and also announced a grant of Rs 100m and four airconditioned buses.

According to details, seven programmes at the graduation level are being run at the university at present. Furthermore, the university will start new graduation and Masters programmes this year.

Speaking on the occasion, the PM underlined the need to promote technical and arts education as he linked country’s progress with it. He also called for ending class division in the education sector as envisioned by the founder of Pakistan Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah and Allama Dr. Muhammad Iqbal.

The prime minister also expressed his determination to promote technical education so that technical hands could be produced and country’s trade deficit could be lessened by sending them abroad. He also distributed certificates to the successful candidates of PM Youth Skill Development Programme.

The prime minister also appreciated Rector NUTECH Lt. General (Retd) Moazzam Ejaz for his vision and dedication to take the institute to the heights of excellence.
