KARACHI: The Pakistan Navy on Tuesday inaugurated a no-cost medical camp in the coastal village of Kappar of Balochistan as part of ongoing efforts to enhance and provide standard healthcare facilities in the province.
According to a statement from the Pakistan Navy, the free medical camp was set up by Navy doctors and paramedic staff in collaboration with the Sahil Welfare Association. The initiative aimed to provide free medical treatment to hundreds of patients, including women and children.
A dedicated team of doctors and paramedic staff, including specialists in various fields such as Medical, ENT, General Surgery, Gynecology, Skincare, and General Duty Medical Officer (GDMO), conducted examinations and offered free consultations and medicines.
Beyond medical care, the local community received information on maternal health and the nutritional needs of mothers and children. The medical team also educated patients on common infections, personal health, hygiene practices, child healthcare, disease prevention, and the importance of maintaining sanitary living conditions.
Expressing a commitment to delivering ongoing, high-quality medical facilities for communities along the coastal belt, the Pakistan Navy’s establishment of the medical camp in Kappar exemplifies its dedication to uplifting the coastal regions.
