Kashmiri Leader Thanks Pakistan PM for Raising Kashmir, Palestine Issues in a Befitting Wat at UN

ISLAMABAD: Senior All Parties Hurriyat Conference (APHC) leader and Vice Chairman Jammu Kashmir National Front Altaf Hussain Wani has expressed his gratitude to Pakistan’s Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif for raising the issue of Kashmir in a befitting way during his speech to the United Nations General Assembly (UNGA).

In a statement he said that PM Sharif won hearts and minds of Muslims across the world by highlighting the plight of Kashmiris and Palestinians profusely at the highest international forum.

He added that the speech not only reflected the true sentiments of the people of Kashmir but of the whole Muslim Ummah.

While lauding Pakistan for its consistent support to Palestinian and Kashmir cause, he said, “Islamabad has been a staunch supporter of the proposal for the creation of an independent Palestinian state, and a strong advocate of Kashmiris’ right to self-determination guaranteed to the people of Kashmir by the world.”

PM Sharif’s courageous position on the issue of Kashmir, he added, “Amply showed the Pakistan’s unwavering resolve towards the cause of Kashmir and its earnest wish to seek a just and peaceful solution of the lingering dispute.”

He said that the people of Kashmir deeply laud Pakistan’s continued support and its efforts to seek an amicable settlement to the Kashmir dispute ”, Wani further said.
