SAMARKAND: Chinese Foreign Minister Qin Gang and his Russian counterpart Sergei Lavrov held discussions on the Ukraine crisis during their meeting in Samarkand, Uzbekistan, on Thursday.
The Chinese foreign ministry stated that there is no one solution to resolving the crisis but that China will continue to play a key and constructive role in promoting a political solution and restarting peace talks.
The meeting between the two ministers comes amid ongoing tensions in Ukraine, with Russian troops massing along the border and ongoing clashes between Ukrainian military forces and pro-Russian separatists in eastern Ukraine.
