ISLAMABAD: Pakistan’s tennis icon, Aisam-ul-Haq Qureshi, brought down the curtain on his illustrious international career on Saturday after the national pair narrowly missed out in the ATP Challenger Cup doubles final.

Competing alongside Muzammil Murtaza at the inaugural ATP Challenger Cup in Pakistan, held at the PTF Tennis Complex in Islamabad, the duo fought valiantly but lost in straight sets, 7-6, 6-4, to the Czech-Kazakh pair of Dominik Palan and Denis Yevseyev.

The final marked a poignant end to Aisam-ul-Haq’s international journey, one that saw him elevate Pakistan’s presence on the global tennis stage.
